TWO CIRCULAR PLATES WITH COATS OF ARMS
in silver, circular in shape. The rim is decorated with fillets. The rim is engraved with a coat of arms.
Hallmarks: First rooster, 1st standard, Paris, 1798–1809, and silversmith’s mark on one: Jean-Pierre CHARPENAT (registered in 1801, previously admitted as a master silversmith in 1782).
The wings are engraved with the combined coat of arms of Charles Boullet, known as Boullet de Varennes, and his wife, née Virginie de Bray (married in 1817), beneath a count’s crown.
