Description
MILK JUG by Joseph Germain Dutalis (1780–1852). Oval-shaped silver jug. The body is fluted and sits on a pedestal decorated with water leaves. The plain neck is engraved with a monogram: TJF, and adorned with the face of a laureated man from which the blackened wooden handle extends. Hallmarks of 1st standard, Brussels 1814–1831, and silversmith’s mark. Height: 13 cm. Gross weight: 308 g. (Normal signs of wear and scratches; sold as is).
