Description
MUSTARD JAR made of silver in the shape of an antique vase, adorned with friezes of fluted bands. The body, resting on an oval pedestal, is engraved with the initials: AL. The neck is adorned with palmette motifs and the crook-shaped handles are decorated with clasps. The hinged lid is topped with a rocaille-style ring. Hallmarks: Vieillard 1st standard, Paris 1819–1838, and silversmith’s hallmarks: DL and a star. Height: 12 cm. Weight: 221 g. (Normal signs of wear and scratches; sold as is).
