Description
LARGE GLASS CHILLER WITH COAT OF ARMS
Oval-shaped silver glass chiller. The bowl, resting on a pedestal, is engraved with the combined coat of arms of Armand Jean François Charles, Marquis de L’Escalopier, and his wife, née Caroline Jeanne de Bailly (who married in 1807). The crenellated rim is adorned with a frieze of palmettes and fitted with handles decorated with foliage motifs.
Vieillard hallmark, 1st standard, Paris 1819–1838. No silversmith’s hallmark.
