A gilded bronze pendulum clock with portal-style sides decorated with figures of women in Egyptian style wearing the nemes; the dial, flanked by sphinxes at the top, is surmounted by eagles and floral scrolls. Signed ‘Philibert’ in Paris, with white enamel Roman numerals and a railway-style minute track. Quadrangular base in black marble. First half of the 19th century. H. 40 cm, W. 24 cm.
