HISTORY :
Created in March 1957 for Colette Gueden's "Rivages" exhibition.
Between 1950 and 1967, Colette Guéden, then artistic director of the Primavera studio, organised themed exhibitions as well as seasonal or themed collections. Each season, she set up a "petite foire" or themed salon - a scenographic presentation within the Printemps department stores'.
These shows presented new objects or collections centred on specific themes, such as Plein Air, Alcôve or Côté Jardin. The decor was often rich and colourful, with floral, animal or landscape motifs. Guéden's approach favoured a cheerful, decorative modernity rather than an austere style.
Among these events, the Rivages exhibition was held in March 1957, with the participation of ceramists and craftsmen such as Pol Chambost.
