HECTOR GUIMARD (1867-1942) Very large Art Nouveau earthenware jardinière resting on six feet, with a domed central body, framed by two bulbous parts, showing moving branches escaping from the shoulder and forming holds; grey-green and beige enamels, some blue and yellow highlights. Part of the "Gilardoni Brault Choisy Le Roy" stamp and black enamelled RB monogram on the reverse of the base. Circa 1897 (Worn, missing enamel inside, base with three holes, restorations) Height 24 cm - Length 68 cm - Depth 31 cm A very important Art Nouveau jardinière in enamelled earthenware. Partially stamped and monogrammed (Wear, losses of enamel inside, base pierced with three holes, restorations) 9 1/2 x 26 3/4 x 12 1/4 in.
