Description
PIERRE PAULIN (1927–2009) & ARTIFORT (Manufacturer) Pair of armchairs, ‘Little Globe’ model, designed in 1959. Seat structure forming a flared basket in thermoformed wood, upholstered in mouse-grey wool, resting on a swivelling base with a circular base in cast aluminium. Manufacturer’s stamps. H. 76 - W. 83 - D. 64 cm H. 29 15/16 - W. 32 11/16 - D. 25 3/16 in.  (Slight discolouration and soiling on the fabric, signs of wear)  Bibliography: Cara Greenberg, "Op to pop, Furniture of the 1960s", Bulfinch Press, New York, 1999, similar model reproduced on p. 99.
