FOURMAINTRAUX Gabriel (1886–1984) (attributed to) – Coffee table comprising a top made of twelve polychrome-glazed earthenware tiles, with a black-lacquered metal frame. H.: 41.5 cm, W.: 62 cm, D.: 47 cm (two cracks, small chips) Note: Gabriel Fourmaintraux, son of Émile Fourmaintraux, took over the family factory in Desvres, which at the time specialised in earthenware, and initially shifted its focus to porcelain (1909–1929). Following financial difficulties, he subsequently returned to the production of earthenware pieces.
