Bibliography: *Variations Virebent*, A. Bardin and B. Watell, ed., Louvre Victoire; model reproduced in a variation of the design on the book’s cover. Note: Bernard Prigent (born 1947) is a French ceramicist who trained under Pierre Mestre and at the École des métiers d’art. Having settled in La Borne in the 1970s with his wife, the ceramicist Solange Garotte, he designed around ten forms with her for the Virebent factory (Lot) and helped develop the early stages of the company’s iconic décor, inspired by mountainous landscapes. Note: The Virebent factory, founded in Puy-l’Évêque, specialises in decorative porcelain and has collaborated with numerous contemporary artists, including Yves Mohy, Claire Debril, François Gueneau, Pierre Lèbe and Michel Gardelle.
