Description
KERAMOS (workshop) – Lamp base in smoked stoneware, partially and lightly glazed in turquoise, applied with a brush. Signed on the underside. Circa 1950. Electrical wiring re-fitted. Total height: 35.5 cm – Height of the ceramic: 26 cm – Diameter: 21.5 cm. Note: The KERAMOS workshop was founded in Sèvres by René Hénon (1924–2009). Based at 12 rue des Pommerets, the workshop was mainly active in the 1950s and 1960s and employed a small team of around six to eight people at the time. Its output included, in particular, lamp bases, plant pots, bowls, decorative objects and functional pieces in stoneware and glazed earthenware.
