Description
RÉ François (20th century) – A large two-light lamp in yellow and black glazed ceramic with incised decoration; the base serves as a trinket tray, fitted with an original lampshade made from black and white synthetic ribbon. Signed ‘F. Ré’ and marked ‘Vallauris’ on the base. H. 70 cm. Wear to the lampshade. Note: François Ré was a ceramicist active in Vallauris during the 1950s and 1960s. He produced his works at the Hélène Ugo studio, a leading post-war studio in Vallauris.
