Black lacquered metal frame with turned bronze components; the shaft is height-adjustable via a clamping screw. Re-wired. Unsigned. H. 140 cm. Note: Gilles Sermadiras de Pouzols de Lile is cited as the founder and artistic director of the Galerie Maison et Jardin. Active in post-war furniture and the decorative arts, this gallery is associated with designs combining lacquered metal, brass and natural materials. Sermadiras is also known for his role in the creation of the Jardins du Manoir d’Eyrignac in the Dordogne.
