Description
LAM Izabel (20th–21st centuries) – ‘Sphère’ cutlery set in bronze, comprising five forks, two soup spoons and three knives. Signed ‘IZABEL LAM’. Lengths: between 20 and 24 cm. Note: Born in Hong Kong and based in New York, Izabel Lam’s work spans fashion and tableware. The Sphère range, created in the late 1980s, is characterised by its undulating forms and hammered edges, inspired by the movement of water and underwater forms. A spoon from the Sphère range, dating from around 1990, is held in the Brooklyn Museum’s collection.
