PEDRON Michel (1941–2021) – A stylised rooster carved directly from wood, depicted in the act of crowing, with its head turned towards its tail. Monogram engraved on the base. Height: 47 cm. Note: Michel Pedron was a French sculptor and engraver, best known for his medal commemorating the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen. He spent time at the Bartlett Foundation, named after the former academician Paul Wayland Bartlett, which provides five artist-in-residence studios, particularly for sculptors returning from the Grand Prix de Rome.
