QUENTIN Mélanie (born 1946) – Embraced Couple. Bronze sculpture with a nuanced patina, signed and marked EA II/IV. Height: 28 cm. Note: Mélanie Quentin is a French sculptor based in Barbizon, where she runs a studio-gallery and teaches sculpture. She creates figurative works centred on the human form, drawing inspiration from both antiquity and modernity. Her career has been marked by public commissions, notably ‘Mon Oncle’ in homage to Jacques Tati, as well as participation in international events under the auspices of UNESCO. A prize-winner at several art fairs, she works with chamotte clay, which she casts in bronze.
