Description
URFER Paul (1916–2000) – Set of two circular ‘Croix d’Occitanie’ medallions in unglazed terracotta. Stamped on the reverse with ‘Paul Urfer céramiste d’art Pornic’. Diameter 16 cm. Note: Paul Urfer, a French ceramicist, was awarded the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 1972. In 1948, he joined the MBFA pottery in Pornic, with which he maintained a long-standing collaboration, notably developing a range of decorative ceramics.
