An identical model, carved from rosewood, is reproduced on page 126. This model is listed in the catalogue of the artist’s work under number 23 - L on page 177. Note: The Martel brothers’ first animal sculptures date from the 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts.
