Florence CHESADE (born in 1960): Snails. Bronze sculpture. Signed and numbered. H: 11 – L: 22 – D: 14 cm. Born in 1960 in Paris, Chésade is a sculptor who currently lives and works in Sainte-Maure de Touraine. Since 2008, Chésade has taken part in numerous exhibitions, where her work is regularly noticed by private collectors. Her works can be found in France and the United Kingdom, as well as in Geneva, the United States, Japan and Australia. The sculptor was awarded two medals at the Biennale of the Musée National de la Marine in Paris (2009 and 2013), and a gold medal at the Salon National des Artistes Animaliers Français in 2009. In 2010, she sculpted the Grand Prix d’Amérique Equestrian Trophy. In 2012, her entire body of work depicting animals was honoured with the prestigious SANDOZ Prize.
