Decagonal lidded box, with a lid handle in the shape of a flower bud, in blackened metal with gilded trim. Marked ‘J. Palyart’ and no. 2647684 on the base.

Jacques Palyart was a painter, collaborator and partner of Louis Süe at L’Atelier Français (founded in 1912 and located at 17 rue de Courcelles in Paris).
