Description
Jacques LAROUSSINIE (born 1945): Large square stoneware box H: 8 - W: 28 - D: 29 cm Jacques LAROUSSINIE (born 1945) Trained at the Beaux-Arts in Bourges between 1969 and 1972, Jacques Laroussinie was influenced by the teaching of Jean and Jacqueline Lerat. Considering himself to be a "non-potter", he nonetheless made the language of clay his own, working with it in the manner of an architect. Inspired by his travels, his constructions, which play on ruptures and balances, and on the work of surfaces, are perfectly in line with the Lerat tradition and establish him as an essential figure in La Borne.
