Elegant wood and lacquer box
Rectangular in shape, the lid in wood and lacquer treated in relief in imitation of wood grain, featuring a decoration in mother-of-pearl, bone and gold lacquer inlays of a bird perched on a flowering basket. A cachet mark in a green-tinted cartouche. The interior reveals a very elegant decoration in relief and inlaid with mother-of-pearl and hard stones of a basket and wisteria branches, on a black and gold nashiji background. Signed Tenrokudo (天禄堂刀) and made by Kenkoku (乾谷謹作), in the taste of the productions of Ogawa Haritsu (Ritsuo).
