Ciboure VE VILOTTE period (1922–1945) Circa 1920–1925 Attributed to Pierre ALMES (1881–1944) Two stamped marks ‘VE Ciboure’ on the base Neo-Greek-style stoneware vessel depicting a musician faun and a muse. Height: 17 cm. Comparable to the decoration on the piece signed by Pierre ALMES, reproduced on page 73 of *La poterie d’Art de Ciboure 1919–1995*, the catalogue of the exhibition at the Basque Museum and the Museum of the History of Bayonne.
