Ciboure VE VILOTTE period (1922–1945) Circa 1920–1930 Decoration reminiscent of the work of Pierre ALMES (1880–1944) Stamped ‘VE Ciboure’ on the base Small pear-shaped stoneware vase with a Neo-Greek design depicting a dancer with cymbals. Height: 10.7 cm. Comparable to the pieces reproduced on page 79 of *La poterie d’Art de Ciboure 1919–1995*, the exhibition catalogue of the Basque Museum and the Museum of the History of Bayonne. A collective work edited by Sabine Cazenave. Le Festin 2020.
