VIETNAM, 19th century Wooden cabinet Rectangular in shape, resting on four uprights terminating in stylised claw feet, the architectural body surmounted by a large openwork pediment profusely carved with dragons moving among clouds around a central reserve. The front opens into multiple compartments, drawers and asymmetrical leaves, richly decorated with panels carved in relief depicting dragons, qilin, phoenixes, fantastical animals and stylised plant motifs. The jambs are adorned with sinuous dragons and foliage scrolls, the crosspieces and frames with geometric and floral motifs. 190 x 133.5 x 56.5 cm (Missing, detached in places, accident on the lower part)
