VIETNAM, Thanh Le workshop, 20th century Low table Rectangular top supported by four curved legs. The top features an engraved polychrome decoration of a procession scene on a black background. A workshop plaque on the underside. 38 x 106.8 x 56.7 cm Provenance: Private Parisian collection assembled by Mr and Mrs X, Paymaster General at the French Consulate in Saigon in the 1960s. Works acquired in Vietnam, some directly from artists who were friends of the family. The collection has remained in the family to this day.
