Note: This print, published in an edition of 40 copies and 5 artist's proofs, was produced around 2021 by the artist to support the Association du Centenaire de La Ruche and enable renovation work to be carried out on this historic artistic building. La Ruche is an artists' housing estate created in 1903 in the Montparnasse district of Paris using materials salvaged from the 1900 Universal Exhibition. Its purpose was to provide studios for artists from all walks of life. Many great names have worked there, including Fernand Léger, Chagall, Apollinaire and Blaise Cendras. Blaise Cendras even dedicated a poem to the place, transcribed on this lithograph.
