SERGE MOUILLE (1922–1988)
‘Clip-on, single ball joint’ – the model designed around
[1957]
An adjustable desk lamp, height-adjustable and
with a movable mounting.
The angled arm is made of black-lacquered tubular metal.
The lampshade, mounted on a ball joint, is made of
aluminium, lacquered black on the outside and white on
the inside – complete with its original
plastic switch.
The ball joint is made of brass.
Complete with its mounting bracket.
Period piece, late 1950s.
Height: 66 cm – Length of arm when extended with
bulb cover: approx. 52 cm
Total length (arm + bulb cover): 118 cm
Shows signs of wear, with oxidation, chips in the lacquer and
scratches.
