; where the sun, from the [proud] mountain / It is a little valley foaming with rays – Shines (inverted) / [ ] / And the nape of the neck bathed [ ]’ extract from - *Le Dormeur du Val* – a poem by Arthur Rimbaud (1854–1891) from October 1870
A ‘speaking’ tapestry woven on a loom; the extract from the poem is incorporated into the title and forms the subject.

With his feet amongst the gladioli, he sleeps. Smiling as
A sick child might smile, he takes a nap:
