Rare heavy wooden statuette with grey patina and polychrome highlights depicting a stylised standing female figure with curved calves. The shoulders are geometrically shaped, with the collarbones emphasised by flat tints. Large round head with ringed ears similar to those on masks. Nails on the occiput. Cracks and repairs (feet, shoulders). These figures were probably used as part of rites to combat witchcraft in Ndoki society. Height 79 cm. - Boa - DRC
