A GILT-DECORATED POWDER BLUE VASE, CONG
Six-character Guangxu mark and of the period
Of square section, supported on a circular foot, and set with a pair of elephant-head handles suspending fixed rings on the sides, covered overall with a blue glaze and finely decorated in gold with bats, stylised shou characters, peaches, and pomegranates, all amidst meandering lotus scrolls, the base with a six-character mark in underglaze blue.
