Description
MESSIE, Pierre. THE THIRD PART OF THE VARIOUS LESSONS. By Pierre Messie, a gentleman of Seuile. Lyon: L’ÉSCU DE MILAN, published by the widow of Gabriel Cotié, 1570. One volume, in-16 (115 x 85), comprising the title page followed by pp. 643–1272, (11) folios; the last folio bears the inscription ‘printed in Lyon by Jean Marcorelle’. Full contemporary binding (?) in poor condition (in need of restoration), cap bands missing, corners worn, top short. Spine with three raised bands and title. This 16th-century Lyon edition appears to have been overlooked by Brunet, and it seems to be very rare.
