MARTIAL. MARTIALIS EPIGRAMATA. VENICE: ALDI’S PRINTING HOUSE, DECEMBER MDI. (1501). As per the colophon. One volume, small 8vo (16.5 x 10 cm) comprising (193) folios (approximately), full contemporary calfskin binding (?), various signs of wear to the binding with some areas where the leather is missing. Handwritten comments on the endpapers. Guilloché edges, large embossed frame on the covers (Venetian binding?). Interior shows some signs of age, but is in very good condition for a 1501 edition. Marius Audin confirms in the margin of his bookplate that this is a very rare edition.
