Note:
Designed by Yves Klein in 1961, the Table Bleue translates one of the artist’s fundamental explorations into the realm of the object: colour considered as matter and space. The IKB blue pigment, left in its pure state beneath a glass top, thus appears to be free from any pictorial intervention.
Production of the edition began in 1963, following the artist’s death, under the supervision of Rotraut Klein-Moquay, based on the model designed by Yves Klein in 1961. The model also exists in pink and gold versions.
