Note:
This very early work dates from the period when Fred Deux was developing his visual language. At that time, the artist was experimenting in particular with splashes of paint, imprints and lacquer, which he developed further through drawing in order to bring forth organic and imaginary forms. This exploratory work preceded the ‘Kleepathologies’ of 1952–1954.
