Duhamel, Georges – *Le jardin des bêtes sauvages* – A copy bearing an autograph dedication signed by the author, dated January 1935 in Algiers. Paris, Mercure de France, 1934 (the second volume in the ‘Chronique des Pasquiers’ series). In 12 grand de marge format, untrimmed from the first edition on Lafuma pure-fibre laid paper. In very good condition. Georges Duhamel, 1884–1966, was a doctor, a leading French writer and poet, author of over 150 works, and a member of the Académie française from 1935, serving as its permanent secretary from 1944 to 1946, and winner of the Prix Goncourt in 1918.
