Hermant, Abel – *Les épaves* – Includes an autograph dedication signed by the author on the half-title page for a copy of the first edition on Alfa paper, total print run 555. Published by Ferenczi et fils, 1927. 12mo paperback, in good condition. Antoine Joseph Abel Hermant (1862–1950) was a writer and playwright with a prolific body of work comprising over 150 novels, 11 plays, several essays and a great many articles published in newspapers. He was elected to the Académie française in 1927, but was expelled in 1945 following his conviction for collaboration.
