First edition on pure Lafuma 16/40 laid paper, the only high-quality paper used. Paris, Ernest Flammarion, 1924. In 12, softback with generous margins, in very good condition. Abel Hermant (1862–1950) was a writer and playwright with a prolific body of work comprising over 150 novels, 11 plays, several essays and a vast number of articles published in newspapers. He was elected to the Académie française in 1927, but was expelled in 1945 following his conviction for collaboration.
