Original manuscript in quarto format, comprising 6 pages, bound at the end of the volume and dated 1909: ‘Note on the Alexandre case…’ recounting the trial concerning a poorly tailored suit. A copy of the first edition on 1/12 Holland paper, the only large-format paper used. Foreword by Maître Henri Robert, illustrations by Henri Guilac. Henry Goulet Booksellers, 1925. In-12 format comprising 118 pages. The whole in a binding signed ‘Pouillet’ in full Jansenist morocco, ribbed spine, red leather motif on the inside of the covers echoing the silk lining, gilt edges, gilt edging on the edges of the covers, covers and spine preserved, slipcase. A very fine copy.
