Description
André T'SERSTEVENS (1886–1974). Autograph MANUSCRIPT, *La Goélette "Onohouhou ma ha Ihourio"*, [February 1941]; 18½ pages, quarto. A complete, fair-copy manuscript of a short story, with numerous deletions and corrections, in its ‘third version’. It is a highly amusing tale of the construction of a schooner by the Lutheran community on a small island in the South Seas; once the boat is completed, it is seized for commercial purposes by the ‘patron’ who had supplied the materials. Enclosed is a photocopy of the manuscript of an earlier version (1937).
