Napoleon III-style liqueur box in blackened wood with mother-of-pearl decoration and red Boulle-style marquetry. H. 25 x 31.7 x 23 cm (box) Included are 4 liqueur decanters. H. 21.5 (with stopper) There are numerous scratches on the box. The box also has a large number of cracks and chips in the top layer of blackened wood. There are also traces of red paint on the left-hand side. Circular indentations are visible on the top of the box. The tip of the decorative border at the top of the box, bottom right, has come loose from its fitting. The box is slightly difficult to open; one of the carafes has a small hole in the shoulder; the first and second glass holders at the bottom right have been re-glued; and the button at the bottom left of the hatch is half-broken.
