AUSTIN WESTMORELAND ST, DUBLIN: Victorian make-up case and jewellery box made from Coromandel wood. The interior is lined with royal blue velvet and black leather. The case has two drawers. H. 20.5 x 33 x 25 cm There are numerous cracks on the box. There is also some peeling and small areas where the wood has come away at the bottom of the right-hand side, as well as on the lid and at the back. The gilded border decorating the entire box is partly missing; only a section remains on the front and back. The gilded border on the underside has come away. There is also a mark near the hinge at the back. The key is missing, but the case still opens. The velvet lining beneath the lid is coming away slightly, and the leather lining is worn.
