Description
KEKO (José Antonio Godoy Cazorla, born in 1963) Iris. Indian ink and white gouache on paper, signed. Dimensions: 34x23.5 cm. This illustration is one of those Keko created for Stephen Greenleaf’s short story *Iris*, published by *El País Semanal* as part of a series of crime stories illustrated by leading artists: *Relatos de Verano*. Keko constructs his comics using a very classical panel layout and page design, combined with a distinctive black-and-white style. His illustrations are characterised by a raw expressionism: no hatching or grey tones, but broad, thick, clean and sharp brushstrokes. A pure black-and-white style, dominated by shadow, which evokes the world of *M le Maudit*. The magazine is enclosed herewith.
