Merwan Chabane, who also signs as “Merwan”, is a graduate of the École nationale des arts décoratifs. After a spell at the École des Gobelins, he cut his teeth in the video game and animation industries, creating storyboards for the latter. He then began creating graphic novels and published *Mécanique Céleste* in 2019, which was nominated for the Young Adult Selection at Angoulême 2020, as well as for the Fnac – France Inter 201911 and the Best Science Fiction Comic Book Award at the 2020 Utopiales in Nantes.
