Description
Goscinny: Dick Dicks, plates no. 9, 10 and 11 (numbered 164 to 166) in Indian ink from the episode "Dick Dicks et les boxeurs" published in the newspaper Het Belang van Limburg from 20 January to 3 February 1955 and in De Gentenaar from 25 January to 8 February 1955. Dick Dicks has to protect boxer Kid Smash because a gang of gangsters want to kidnap him for ransom. We meet them in a zoo, where we see that the boxer's phenomenal strength, sending a lion into the air, inevitably brings to mind a certain Obelix, who would be created four years later. A superb record of the comic work of this brilliant scriptwriter, whose 100th birthday (14 August 1926) is being celebrated (slight vertical folds and stains). Dimensions: 50 x 62 and 2 x 49.2 x 61.
