Ivory okimono, Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912) Depicting on a quadripod terrace a man seated in front of his meal, to his right a child serves him a sake cup while to the left a woman holds a keg. Signed in a red lacquer cartouche 京谷 Kyotani One foot of the base missing, a screw secures the man to the pedestal, a chip to the base. H. 13, 5 cm - Net weight: 576 g (handle of the teapot broken) A CITES permit, valid for circulation within the EU only, will be given to the buyer.
