The silk embroidered with a design of two roosters clashing amid bamboo and an inscription in Sino-Vietnamese: 河内 (Hà Nội) 杜文諧 (Đỗ Văn Hài) 製造 (Chế Tạo) "Manufactured by Đỗ Văn Hài in Hanoi".
The wooden frame rests on clawed legs with a chinoiserie decoration of grecques and dragons in relief in the style of Gabriel Viardot's productions.
