Set of 3 pedestal bowls The first has a quadripartite decoration of 2 human faces facing each other and geometric motifs. The second is decorated in the centre with a poly-lobed circle. The third is decorated with four inverted red triangles with a cream-coloured palm motif in the centre. Black decoration painted in negative and enhanced with red. Tuncahaun/Piartal culture, Carchi/Narino province, Ecuador/Colombia, 300 BC - 800 AD H. 11 - D. 21 cm H. 10 - D. 20 cm H. 9.5 - D. 20.5 cm Provenance : - Former collection of Mr Claude Demarigny.
