Glass snuffbox painted on the inside, China, 20th century
Quadrangular in shape, painted inside with flowering branches on one side and an inscription in kaishu on each short side: 性致只因經歷少 "Temperament (is like this) only because experience is weak" and 和平曾爱琢磨多 "Peace has already been the subject of much reflection".
Then an inscription in cursive on the fourth side, difficult to translate.
Pink tourmaline stopper.
