WORK CIRCA 1880-1890 IN THE STYLE OF THE CRYSTAL STAIRCASE AND/OR AUGUSTE ET LOUIS MAJORELLE (1825-1979) (1859-1926) OR GABRIEL VIARDOT (1830-1904) Stilt walkers, a toad and a butterfly among country flowers and exotic plants A round table with a tilting top in the Japanese style. The circular top is decorated with a title; the decorative motifs are in relief and lacquered on a rosewood veneer base - the tilting and holding system is provided by two metal pins and a lock. The hexapod base is reminiscent of ironwood, carved with geometric motifs and stylised pineapples and covered with engraved decorations.
